School lotteries for kindergarten suck! Kindergarten should not cause anyone the amount of anxiety that has been flying around our community this week. These lotteries have become a topic of discussion on Facebook. Even my husband is stressed about it, and I would have never expected that from him. Stressing and worrying are generally in my job description around here.
Wow! I would not have expected that in Colorado. What is the lottery for?
There are only so many spots available at each school, and if you want to go there you have a enter the lottery and have your name pulled in the top 20 or so, otherwise you don’t get in. There is a public school which has to accept everyone, but in our town specifically, there are 2 charters with lotteries and one magnet school with a lottery.
